GRATIA ET MISERICORDIA

“Grace and Mercy”

G E M

This represents the Latin Gratia Et Misericordia.
These words are drawn from the authors and witnesses of the “Tradition and tradition” in Public and Private Revelation that teach about the Grace and Mercy of God that accompanies each Christian in the Faith Journey.

White Pages

These represent the holy teachings of our Faith Tradition, especially the Scriptures. They also represent the inspired teachings in the Private Revelation by the Fathers, Doctors, Theologians, and Saints and saints.
These are the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church.

G E M” on the Cross

This represents Christ, the Word Made Flesh, Who brings us the Grace and Mercy of God through His Incarnation, Passion, and Resurrection. Jesus is our Great Treasure.

Trefoil on Ends of the Cross

A traditional image to indicate the Trinity.

The Inner Circle

This represents the interior Life of Faith. In the coloured version, it is made up of various greens, representing a vibrant life of Faith and Hope.

The Outer Circle

This draws on the Celtic (rooted in the Norse) traditions around the High Cross with the circle. In our Logo, we see it representing God Who encompasses our entire life and faith: God Who is ever-present and ever-active in our Faith Journey. In the coloured version, it is a mottled gold, representing the golden and ever pervading light of Heaven, as is given testimony in the Book of Revelation and in the Private Revelation. (White is used to represent this in the b/w version.)

2 Gems with Rays
(White and Black in the b/w version for practicality and print.)

White Pearl. On the Gratia side of the logo.
This represents the Grace of God that flows forth, first through our Baptism, then through our Confirmation and our reception of the other Sacraments, then throughout our Faith Journey in the life and work of the Holy Spirit. For us at GEM, we understand this also to point to Mary, the Mediatrix of All Grace, as she is spoken of in the Private Revelation.

Red Ruby. On the Misericordia side of the logo.
This represents The Passion of Christ and His entire work of Salvation and Redemption, especially with a focus on his Most Precious Blood and His Most Sacred Heart of Love and Mercy.

The Rays. Flowing from each gem.
These draw our attention to the Divine Mercy Image and to the writings of St Faustina and the work of the Divine Mercy in this age and season of the Church and the World: Christ Who comes in theses time as the Divine Mercy.

Small White and Red Gems

These represent the Grace and Mercy of God received within each faithful Christian (centre gems) and the Grace and mercy of God going forth to all the Church and to all the World (gems at the ends of the Cross). As we belong to His Cross, our Faith Journey is both to receive and to bring to others Grace and Mercy. In this, we find our Hope and our Joy.

And the Peace that the world cannot give.
